I have always been drawn to creating spaces where people feel able to say what has previously felt impossible to put into words.
Since qualifying as an Art Psychotherapist in 2002, I have worked across NHS and community mental health services, and private practice, working alongside people facing a wide range of emotional difficulties. While my online work is primarily conversational, my training and experience continues to shape how I think about emotional experience, creativity and the therapeutic relationship.
Alongside my clinical work, I have over ten years' experience supervising qualified and trainee psychotherapists and counsellors. This has further deepened my appreciation of the importance of thoughtful reflection, careful listening and the uniqueness of every therapeutic relationship.
What I aim to offer is a thoughtful, containing space in which difficult feelings can be explored at your own pace – not quick answers, but someone thinking alongside you.
Beginning therapy is a significant step, and finding the right therapist matters. Whatever you are carrying, it need not be faced in isolation.
